Hyundai's 2025 Tucson Line-Up: A Shift Towards Hybrids

Hyundai has taken a significant step in updating its Tucson line-up, completely phasing out the turbodiesel variants in favour of a more environmentally friendly alternative. The revised 2025 Tucson now features a 1.6-litre petrol-electric hybrid (HEV) powertrain, joining the existing 1.6-litre turbo-petrol and 2.0-litre petrol variants.

This shift towards hybrid technology is part of Hyundai's broader strategy to enhance its medium SUV range. The South Korean manufacturer has not only updated the powertrain options but also introduced a new price structure. The starting price for the 2025 Tucson has been elevated to $39,100 plus on-road costs, which is a $3450 increase compared to the previous entry point. This price adjustment extends across the entire 17-variant Tucson line-up for 2025.

The range-topping model, the Tucson Hybrid AWD Premium N-Line, now comes with a price tag of $61,100 plus on-road costs. This represents a significant $7450 increase over the previous top-of-the-range diesel-powered Highlander. Despite the price hikes, Hyundai justifies the cost by highlighting the new and upgraded features available across the range.

The 2025 Tucson is available in three trim levels: Elite and Premium. Each trim level boasts revised styling and a host of new and enhanced technological features. Hyundai's commitment to innovation and sustainability is evident in this latest update, making the 2025 Tucson a compelling choice for consumers looking for a modern, eco-friendly SUV.
